Mission – Vision – Values

Our Mission

We love and serve all by loving God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind.

Our Vision

To be an engaged community of faith who loves with the heart of Christ and serves with the hands of Christ.

Our Values

We value Scripture.  We believe all scripture is the truly inspired Word of God.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:105)
2 Timothy 3:16-17
16All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Psalm 119:105
105 Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
We value Mission and Service.  We believe there is no greater example to follow than the servant leadership of Jesus.  (Matthew 25:40, 1 Corinthians 15:58)
Matthew 25:40
40 ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
1 Corinthians 15:58
58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.
We value Fellowship and Family.  We believe there is no greater institution than one’s combined family and church family, to worship and serve God.  (Deuteronomy 6:5-7, Acts 2:46-47)
Deuteronomy 6:5-7
5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Acts 2:46-47
46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
We value Prayer.  We believe in the power of Prayer.  We believe the act of praying is often just as powerful as the answer.  (Philippians 4:6-7, James 5:13-16, Luke 11:9-10)
Philippians 4:6-7
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
James 5:13-16
13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Luke 11:9-10
9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
